These things change, sometimes before we even notice. And while we can’t slow time down, we can take pictures!
As a Spokane family photographer, I want you to have beautiful photos of everyone looking at the camera, along with the moments that happen in between. Your kids making each other laugh. The way they hand you a rock like its precious treasure. Or maybe it's just the way their hold onto your hand.
Whatever it is, I want to help you remember it all.
What a family session with me looks like
I show up with a smile on my face, ready to have fun while keeping things relaxed so everyone can feel comfortable.
Whether we’re at your home or outdoors, I like to start with the whole family when possible. I’ll guide you into natural poses for those classic pictures of everyone looking, then give prompts that get you moving and interacting. I may even ask to see your kiddos’ silliest faces.
Kids often enjoy having their pictures taken when they’re allowed to be silly and just be kids. I follow their lead. If they’re ready, great—let’s do it! If they need time to warm up, no problem. We’ll try something else and circle back.
My hope is that your family leaves feeling like you had fun together, rather than just survived another family photoshoot.

Before your session
Once you reach out, we’ll choose a date, time, and location that feels like the best fit for your family. Whether that’s your home or a meaningful outdoor space, I’m always happy to guide you.
After that, I’ll send over your agreement along with a short questionnaire so I can get a feel for your family, what this season looks like and what matters most to you right now.
To reserve your session date, a signed agreement and a 50% deposit are required. I’ll also share simple tips to help you feel prepared (what to wear, how to prep the kids, etc.) The goal is for your session to feel easy, relaxed, and like you.
After your session
Within two weeks, you’ll receive a full curated gallery of hand-edited, high-resolution images.
From there, you can download your images, share them with family, and start thinking about how you want to enjoy them, whether that’s prints, albums, or simply having them to look back on for years to come.

FAQ
When should I reach out about a family session?
Most families reach out four to eight weeks in advance. Fall dates tend to fill the fastest, so I recommend planning a little earlier if you have a specific date in mind. You’re always welcome to reach out sooner—or ask about last-minute availability!
Where can our session take place?
Sessions can take place in your home or at an outdoor location around Spokane or the surrounding area.
What if my kids don't cooperate?
As a mom to a two-year-old, I completely understand this worry. It’s also why I leave room for kids to be kids. If they’re excited to have their picture taken, let’s do it! If they need time to warm up, we’ll try something else and circle back later. There’s room for breaks, snacks, and a little exploring.
I know it’s easier said than done, but you don’t have to apologize for what might feel like chaos. Spend time with your family, and I’ll guide you along the way. Some of my favorite photographs happen when kids are simply being themselves.
What if we don’t want our children’s faces shown online?
Not a problem at all! You’ll be able to let me know whether you’re comfortable with your images being shared online in your session questionnaire. I’ll respect your preferences and honor your family’s privacy.
What should we wear for our family pictures?
Once you’re booked, I’ll share simple guidance to help you coordinate without making everyone look overly matched. Above all, I want you to feel comfortable and like yourselves.
When will we receive our phototgraphs?
Your full gallery of hand-edited, high-resolution images will be delivered within two weeks of your session.
What happens if the weather is bad for our outdoor session?
For outdoor sessions, I’ll keep an eye on the forecast as your date approaches. If the weather truly won’t work, we’ll make a plan together to reschedule or choose another option.
Can we bring our dogs?
Absolutely—as long as our chosen location allows dogs! I love meeting your furry family members. Bring treats, a leash, and a favorite toy or comfort item to help them feel at ease.
