Family Session

A relaxed, 60-minute session where I guide you just enough, while leaving space for real moments to unfold naturally. Just your family being together, playing in the backyard, snuggling on the couch, or sharing a quiet moment at home.

Your kids don’t have to sit still. I follow their lead, capturing the laughter, the connection, and the in-between moments you don’t even realize are happening, but will mean everything later.

I’ll gently direct when needed so you feel comfortable and confident, while also stepping back to document what’s already there.

This kind of session might be for you if

  • You want a mix of gently guided and natural moments
  • You want photos that feel like your family, not a performance
  • Your kids don't sit still (and that's okay)
  • You want to remember what life actually looked like in this season

What family sessions can look like

It might look like me walking into your home while your kids are already running around and being themselves. Someone turns on their favorite song and suddenly we’re dancing in the living room, music playing, kids laughing, and me right there capturing it.

At some point, I’ll gather everyone onto the couch and guide you into a few family photos, everyone looking at the camera, smiling, then looking at each other, laughing (and yes, I might do something ridiculous to get those genuine smiles).

We’ll grab siblings together, individual moments of your kids, and the sweet, quieter connections too, like holding your newborn close or soaking in those early days.

And in between all of that, I’m paying attention to the moments we didn’t plan, dad swinging his son back and forth, quick glances, little bursts of laughter, the things that just happen. It’s a mix of gentle direction and real life unfolding at the same time.

You’ll receive a full curated gallery of hand-edited, high-resolution images.

Sessions start at $450.

Before your session

Once you reach out, we’ll choose a date, time, and location that feels like the best fit for your family. Whether that’s your home or a meaningful outdoor space, I’m always happy to guide you.

After that, I’ll send over your agreement along with a short questionnaire so I can get a feel for your family—what this season looks like, what your kids are like, and what matters most to you right now.

To reserve your session date, a signed agreement and full payment are required. Most families book 2–8 weeks in advance, but you’re always welcome to plan ahead.

I’ll also share simple tips to help you feel prepared (what to wear, how to prep the kids, etc.), but nothing needs to be perfect. The goal is for your session to feel easy, relaxed, and like you.

During your session

There’s no pressure to perform or get everything “just right.” I’ll guide you when needed, helping you settle in, giving a little direction, and making sure we get those photos where everyone’s looking and connected.

From there, I follow your family’s lead. If your kids want to run, we go with it. If someone wants to be held, we slow down. If something unexpected happens (because it always does), that’s usually where the best moments are.

I’m paying attention to both, those quick, smiling at the camera moments and the in-between ones you didn’t even realize were happening.

After your session

Within four weeks, you’ll receive a full curated gallery of hand-edited, high-resolution images.

From there, you can download your images, share them with family, and start thinking about how you want to enjoy them, whether that’s prints, albums, or simply having them to look back on for years to come.
